Have you ever wondered what defines a good cookbook? There are countless options, each offering a unique perspective. Some are crafted by professional chefs, others focus on specific cuisines, time-honored classics, particular cooking methods, or specialized techniques. As a professor, I always appreciate the written word; printed recipes are a cherished tradition, though they aren't always practical. In my upcoming series of posts, I will review several cookbooks and share my insights on what I find useful and frustrating about them.
